Patriot Class - No 5511 Isle of Man. An early mainline express locomotive of the LMS showing many Midland Railway influences. For all that they were reliable performers that carried much good work until being slightly eclipsed by the introduction of the Royal Scot class. Even then they were rebuilt which prolonged their use on many important rosters. I have a photo showing the nameplate to include the three legged emblem of the Isle of Man beneath the name,  however I have another showing the name as illustrated. I suspect that the emblem was a later addition to the name.
