No 117 - A Baltic tank (4-6-4T) introduced in 1920. A very heavy tank locomotive with more than enough hauling power to climb some of the stiff grades of the Furness lines and they were well liked by the crews. In common with Baltic tank engines on other absorbed railways after the Grouping of 1923 the new owners, in this case the LMS, didn't quite know what to do with them and so they stayed largely on home grounds.
