Coronation - Coach A . Possibly the premier train of the UK in the thirties. Designed by Sir Nigel Gresley and consisting of eight coaches plus the streamlined observation car (only in the summer months), the train was extremely popular. The train went over 100mph on several occasions and being recorded at 109mph. It is my intention to produce some interior illustrations of these coaches one day. I made 4mm models of this train and the Silver Jubilee some years ago - sold some time ago. The flexible connections needed some thought and the solution required large curves !!
