ELEGANT STEAM
London Midland & Scottish Railway
Coronation Scot 1939 (USA) Lounge Car No 56100. The third coach on the train. As can be seen this coach had its purpose painted on the side as did all the other coaches on the train apart from the first two. There were two and half compartments  with a side corridor leading the open bar area.

I'm not sure if this arrangement, including the painted name, would have been been continued if the train could have run in the UK after 1940. I suspect that it was constructed especially for the visit to the World Fair and, upon its return, possibly refurbished as a vestibule first open.
