GWR No 4019 Knight Templar

Star Class No 4019 Knight Templar. Originally this was No 40, a 4-4-2 Atlantic which is illustrated on a previous page of the GWR collection. No 40 was rebuilt into a 4-6-0 and emerged as the locomotive above. This is now a typical Churchward express locomotive. Although my background is as a "LNER man" I have to admit that this is one beautiful locomotive and, by all accounts, a very efficient one too.
